Following our motto Living our Catholic faith, building community, and being “doers of the word” we have activities that encourage members to share their enthusiasm, talents, and time and revitalize the faith with other like-minded Catholics. Because both married and single people participate, we believe that we have a good environment where we can learn from each other. Though most members are Catholic and in their mid 20s to 50s, we welcome anyone to join us for our activities. Our four areas of activities that allow us to grow and practice the Catholic faith: Spiritual: Provides spiritual aid and support in the form of prayer, bible study, adoration, special masses and retreats along with other services necessary to enhance our faith. Some examples are our weekly adoration, monthly participation in Theology on Tap, bi-yearly retreats, study of JPII writings and books, and attending mass together. Service: Allows us to be of service to the community as a whole in assisting in projects that require our help. We have been involved with citywide efforts such as “Rebuilding Denver” and “Compa Food Ministry” as well as large clean up, landscaping, and other projects for the Maternity of Mary Home, Birthline, and Broadway Assistance Center. We have also held fundraisers in support of Southern Exposure, who builds homes for the homeless in Juarez, Mexico and have sent a team down there to help with the construction. Outdoor: Helps us to come together and enjoy God’s great outdoors through activities such as camping , cabin, and rafting trips and hikes of varying difficulties. We have also had ski and snowshoeing trips as well as volleyball and flag football. Social: Gives us the opportunity to gather as friends through a variety of events. We have several monthly meetings and an occasional potluck and picnic to aid this aspect such as a social on the 2nd Sunday of each month at the Cathedral and a monthly fun night.
